Who we are
Wild Root was born when two friends of young children recognized their shared aspiration of preparing nourishing and delicious meals for families navigating the flurries and demands of daily life.
Madison Hollander
CO FOUNDER
Madison’s passion for nutrition, ingredient sourcing, and meal planning developed during her collegiate years where she earned a degree in Dietetics and participated in competitive sports. She is inspired by diverse nutritional needs associated with pregnancy, athletic performance and the every changing demands in family life. This drives her to craft flavorful and nourishing dishes that promote accessible and enjoyable healthy eating for both her family and the broader community.
Elsa de Brosses
CO FOUNDER
Growing up in a family deeply rooted in French tradition, food, and wine, Elsa has spent her life not only cooking, but caring deeply about where ingredients come from and the way they nourish the people she cooks for. Her passion for the culinary arts stems from generations of skilled home cooks - from her grandmother in rural France to her father, long time chef at Chez Panisse.
Following a formative summer at Ballymaloe Cookery School, Elsa spent 1 year working in the kitchen at Chez Panisse, and 8 assisting her parents with their cooking classes in France. She went on to work as a private chef for over a decade, cooking for families, as well as collaborating with wineries such as Dalla Valle, and Scribe to name a few…
Whether she is preparing a five course dinner or making crêpes with her two daughters, Elsa leads with warmth, intention, and a genuine love for feeding others. Creating meaningful, memorable experiences around the table is always at the heart of her work.
